The 6 Pillars of Faith

Faith (Iman) is the foundation of a Muslim’s belief, built upon six core pillars that shape their understanding of life and the hereafter. These pillars include belief in Allah, His angels, His books, His messengers, the Day of Judgment, and divine decree (Qadr).

Belief in Allah is the heart of Islam, affirming His oneness, power, and mercy. His angels, unseen but ever-present, carry out His commands, from recording deeds to delivering revelations. The divine books, including the Quran, Torah, Gospel, and Psalms, serve as guidance, though only the Quran remains unchanged. Throughout history, Allah sent messengers such as Adam, Moses, Jesus, and Muhammad, peace be upon them all, to guide humanity. The Day of Judgment reminds Muslims of their ultimate accountability, where deeds will determine their eternal fate. Lastly, belief in Qadr teaches that everything happens by Allah’s will, though humans still have responsibility for their choices.

These six pillars are more than just beliefs. They shape a Muslim’s daily actions, choices, and outlook on life. They provide clarity, purpose, and a deep sense of connection to Allah, guiding believers on a path of faith and righteousness.
